ExaGrid Named As A Visionary In Gartner Magic Quadrant
ExaGrid Systems Inc. has revealed that it has been named as a visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Deduplication Backup Target Appliances.
The research firm Gartner assesses technology vendors on a number of important criteria to measure completeness of vision including their geographic strategy, industry strategy, marketing strategy, sales strategy, innovation, product strategy, and market understanding. To earn the label of visionary within one of the Magic Quadrants – the four main areas of technology offerings – a company must be able to demonstrate its ability to deliver innovative products with capabilities that are often ahead of the mainstream in the market.
ExaGrid, a leading provider of disk-based backup solutions, has achieved this coveted accolade by doing just that. While traditional backup architectures fail to provide the additional computing power with capacity needed to fix storage and deduplication compute problems, ExaGrid’s unique scale-out architecture can.
Furthermore, the pay-as-you-go payment systems adopted by the fast-growing company ExaGrid gives customers the benefit of increasing ingest rate and capacity with the same restore throughput as ingest throughput as and when they need. This in turn means that backup windows stop expanding and restores are faster than ever before.
Bill Andrews, CEO of ExaGrid, commented on the news: “We’ve solved the systemic problems caused by today’s unprecedented data growth, giving our customers scale-out backup solutions that can handle any amount of data and permanently fix the backup window.
“We believe that Gartner’s recognition and our industry-high customer retention rate are true testaments to our innovation and success.”
