New Updates Announced For Lifesize Cloud
Lifesize, a division of Logitech that specialises in video conferencing solutions, has unveiled a raft of updates to its Lifesize Cloud product.
By removing the complexity and cost of advanced communication solutions Lifesize has enabled firms to seamlessly connect with employees and partners with life-like video conferencing technology on any desktop, tablet or smartphone device. What's more, as it is delivered over the Lifesize Cloud, the need for expensive infrastructure is removed while the management of the technology is simplified.
First and foremost the company has announced its new Enterprise Subscription Plan for Lifesize Cloud. The new subscription plan is indicative of Lifesize's wider ethos to make video conferencing and state of the art communications technologies available to all employees within any organisation, regardless of its size.
The new Enterprise Subscription Plan will equip every employee and every room with a Lifesize Cloud, in turn delivering huge benefits to both the individual and the company as a whole. It means that employees are always connected, making collaboration quick and easy and boosting productivity. Furthermore, account managers will no longer need to allocate and track individual utilisation because Lifesize will do that for them, the company stated.
Moreover, Lifesize has revealed that those who sign up the subscription plan will gain access to exclusive features like unlimited virtual meeting rooms, Microsoft Lync support and many more. Lifesize added that customers of the plan also gain access to Lifesize Extreme Enterprise Support Service, which extends the company's highly regarded customer services by giving them "24/7/365" support and access to special communities and beta releases".
Of course, the bulk subscription also offers economies of scale, meaning a firm can save money by signing up to one enterprise-wide deal to roll-out the video conferencing tool.
Along with the Enterprise Subscription Plan, the Logitech division has announced other updates to the Lifesize Cloud. One such improvement has been in the ease to set up and schedule a video conference.
The company states: "We've made scheduling a meeting on Lifesize Cloud faster and easier than ever on Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook with our new Google Chrome extension and Microsoft Outlook add-in. Users simply click on the Lifesize Cloud button in their calendar and select the attendees and dialling preferences for their meetings."
A new Lecture Mode has also been added. This gives any user the ability during meeting creation to designate a primary presenter to show full-screen, making it ideal for any presentation or lecture. In addition, answering demand from its customers, Lifesize Cloud now works on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Account managers will benefit from the upgrades too; new reports mean that account managers can view call quality in the web console dashboard. "A simple pie chart shows packet loss metrics with the ability to drill down further to troubleshoot individual call issues," the company explained.
Lifesize added: "We also added the ability to view active and available users, providing account managers with metrics to analyse ROI for entitling employees with Lifesize Cloud."
